Abstract

The primary objective of this study is to comprehensively evaluate the infrastructure management system at API Syubbanul Wathon Islamic Boarding School in Secang, Magelang, by analyzing four core dimensions: context, input, process, and product. Employing a qualitative evaluative approach based on Stufflebeam’s CIPP model, data were gathered through structured interviews, field observations, and documentation analysis involving the infrastructure coordinator, administrators, and students. Research findings reveal that under the context dimension, spatial expansion is driven by escalating student demographics but lacks measurable needs assessments. Input evaluation indicates functional-participatory budgetary mechanisms through annual funding structures, which are concurrently constrained by a lack of dedicated sinking funds. Process evaluation uncovers a managerial paradox: a highly responsive 1–3 days corrective maintenance system operating in the absence of written Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), leading to service inconsistencies. Product evaluation demonstrates that despite bureaucratic and financial limitations, the overall infrastructure effectively supports educational transmission, heavily compensated by the institution's spiritual-cultural capital (khidmah and ro’an). In conclusion, while infrastructure management fundamentally sustains instructional quality, structural modernization through digital asset management and formal SOP formulation is imperative. This study offers a strategic hybridization model to transform traditional asset management into an accountable system capable of bolstering contemporary educational service quality.
